As I read the old testament I look for signs of Jesus. David is a definate example. My bottom line is that I need to respond to Jesus the way Jonathan did to David. Complete abandonment of his own desires and goals. He was a great warrior. He gave up his weapons and armor. He was next in line to be king. He gave up his robe.
